MSU Online Extension Lunch and Learn Webinar - Mindfully Feeding Infants & Toddlers

Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. Research has shown that practicing mindfulness is effective in reducing stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression and physical tension, and may be helpful in managing chronic conditions.

Food is so much more than just fuel. Mealtime routines not only build strong relationships with people, but also a healthy relationship to food. During this workshop, participants will explore research on parenting styles, mindfulness and temperament and learn how those factors can lead to responsive feeding of infants and toddlers.

This training is designed to encourage ways for parents and caregivers to be responsive feeders to infants and toddlers.
