The Huron County Great Start Collaborative is a partnership of local stakeholders and parents who are committed to establishing and maintaining a comprehensive early childhood system that will address all factors that influence a child's readiness for school and life. The Collaborative's core responsibilities include:

  • Engaging parents, schools, businesses, faith based organizations and other stakeholders in the planning, implementation and coordination of services to support the healthy development of children birth to 5 years of age and their families.
  • Promoting community awareness of early childhood issues.
  • Advocating for quality early childhood programs and services.

Huron County Child Abuse/Neglect Council

 

  • Join the Great Start Collaborative or one of the Great Start workgroups to help strengthen and enhance the Huron County Early Childhood System.
  • Participate in Great Start outreach events.
  • Join the Great Start Parent Coalition or get involved in their activities.
  • Be an advocate for young children and families and the importance of the early childhood years.
